George has been making Windsor-style chairs for many years. A number of years ago, when we first worked with George,a fellow came into the gallery and spent a long time looking at one of George's chairs. He looked at it from all angles, picked it up and turned it over. When asked what he thought, the fellow said he was curator of a Windsor furniture museum and had never seen a better reproduction of the original. That reinforced our notion that George was a quality furniture maker; that hasn't changed through the years. This chair has a bent oak frame, hand-shaped oak spindles, turned maple legs and base and an hand-carved pine seat. You'll enjoy its comfort as well as its style. If you need more than one, George will make them for you. He also makes side chairs. Let us know what you'd like.
